Will you buy a poppy for the war victims? a Y-Teen pleaded as she stood in downtown Miami on the annual Poppy Day. W'hy, yes, Miss, I will, replied a kind-hearted Miamian. Such is one of the various phases of Y-Teen life. The most admirable fact about Y-Teens is that everyone, from the meanest of freshmen to the mightiest of seniors strives to main tain the Y-Teen purpose to create a friendlier feeling among the girls, to learn to know and to give the bestf' Y-Teens had this purpose in mind when they contributed to the Reconstruction liund of war devastated Y.XV.C.A.'s of the world. This purpose was in Y-Teens, hearts again when they spoke in churches, Community Chest Sunday on behalf of the Dade County Community Chest, and later solicited for it. On the social side of Y-Teen life were Y-Teen-Hi-Y picnics and parties, Y-Teen meetings at the YH and week- end conferences at Cireynolds Park and Snap- per Creek. 1 I Ruff: Xliss Nlclionaltl, Mildred Harris. lxelyn Palniquist.
