He worked over 100 hours as the student coordinator for the campaign. Luis was one of forty students representing three schools. As student coordinator, he was in charge of all student services. His reason for voluntarily becoming involved with Congressman Fascells campaign was due to an assignment for his Close-Up class. V- Terry Kaye Fagen observes judicial system BY: CINDY KRISCHER Each Thursday for a full semester Lisa Fagen participates in the Court Observer Program, one of the on-site learning programs provided by Dade Public Schools. Lisa travels to the Dade County Metro Justice Building where she attends a class from l:OO to 5:00 Thursdays. Lisa views actual trials ranging from petty theft to first degree murder. Through actual court observations she is able to develop attitudes and values concerning the judicial system. l've interviewed judges, state attorneys, and public defen- ders, said Lisa. Lisa was selected for this program on the basis of interest, grade point average, and a mature level of responsibility.
