M , .x ,., Kellogg, Yolanda French Lopez, Ana Spanish Posado, Edward Spanish Foreign languages let students further enjoy multi-cultured Miami By Ken Merker The desire to speak and understand foreign languages has grown rapidly at Coral Park. Stu- dents have shown increasing enthusiasm toward learning foreign languages, especially in multi- culture Miami. Knowing a foreign language in Dade County is no longer a luxury. There are coun- tless languages spoken in Miami, and a student knowing several languages will benefit in the future, remarked Mrs. Maureen Bodea, chairper- son of the Foreign Language Department. ln March, students had the opportunity to prove their oral fluency in French, Spanish, and Italian at the Dade County Youth Fair. During the spring, French students participated in oral and written tests. Through the years, Coral Park has always placed high among its competitors, stated Yolanda Kellogg, French teacher.
