Guidance Department helps .' fi gi , , 23 Z students 1n preparing for future academics By Gaby Puello The Guidance Department at Coral Park is made available to the student body in order to assist and advise the students in making decisions. The guidance counselors had a major role in the ad- ministration of the Florida State Assessment Test which took place during the first two weeks of Oc- tober. During the first week of March, the occupational specialist organized Career Week. Students were given the opportunity to ask questions of represen- tatives from numerous professions. We try to get students thinking about different careers, stated Dorothy Day, career specialist. Possibly the most important thing the counselors did throughout the year was assisting students with information concerning various colleges and courses. We talk about different colleges and voca- tions, stated Dr. Robert Lurtz, department chair- man.
