Council helped bridge gap between students, teachers Student Council consists of a group of students in the school who are interested in the schools govemment. Under the direction of Miss Eads, they worked hard during the school year for the students and our school. Student Council serves as a bridge between the students and teachers, commented president Bill Tedesco. Many activities were conducted throughout the year. The Student Council supported many of our football games. For the Southwest game, they con- ducted the Purple Feather Contest. They also spon- sored the traditional Homecoming Dance on November 14th, followed by the Homecoming parade on the 20th of November. ln the earlier por- tion of the year, they had the annual United Way Fund Drive, in which they raised over one-thousand dollars. Activity weeks were sponsored by the Coun- cil throughout the year.
