To qualify as a member students must have a 3.4 overall average or above and must have leadership, dedication and character, qualities which are essential to being a member. Ana Dopico, president of National Honor stated, N.H.S. does not exist solely for scholastic distinction, it encourages the development of responsibility and character. This past year activities included tutoring at elementary schools, helping out with a Thanksgiv- ing with a food drive and participating in a contest called Brain Brawl. l had a great time this year. l felt it was an honor being with such an intelligent, dedicated, and responsible group, concluded Barbara Centero, N.H.S. district president.
