F.B.L.A. Club works hard to achieve goal By Ana Hernandez Learning how to be a good business leader was the major goal of F.B.l..A. By providing special business education Future Business Leaders of America club members worked continuously to achieve this goal. F.B.L.A. members went to various field trips throughout the year. These trips introduced them to business offices and other jobs related to business education. Trips were organized by club sponsor Ms. Weber. Members also participated in the annual county typing competitions in February and the state competition in April. As an officer of F.B.LA. l now realize the hard work that goes into making a successful club. I don't regret it. It was hard work but a worthwhile ex- perience, stated Haydee Garcia. F.B.L.A. helped me decide what career I wanted, said Jose Carrera. Future Business Leaders of America grows strong By Ana Hernandez For obtaining the experience and the skill needed to succeed in the business world, students at Coral Park joined F.B.L.A.. An experience within itself, F.B.L.A. provided a feeling of achievement for those students interested in business future. This past year Mrs. Hissa's Future Business Leaders of America club participated along with other F.B.L.A. groups in the Dade County business competition in February. Later in April they com- peted in the State competition. Due to increased enthusiasm and a desire to learn about business, F.B.L.A. grew remarkably in membership this past year. F.B.L.A. has taught me how to handle myself and how to achive the goals I have set for myself in my job! stated Edelsy Estevez, F.B.L.A. member. French Club takes part in a variety of school functions By Marlene Braga French interest, a club open to all students con- cerned with the beauty and culture of France, got off to a great start with many different and in- teresting ideas. French Interest strives to bring the beauty of French culture to our school and provides for the students a new and enriching perspective, stated President Beatriz Taquechel. Members par- ticipated in various extra-curricular activities, and took part in a variety of school functions. ln Oc- tober, French lnterest manned a booth for Hallo- ween Happenings selling French bread and also marched in the homecoming parade on November 20. lt's fun to be able to learn how other people live and love as the French say. Being in French Interest has helped me understand the ways of another country, commented Alicia Cordova, vice- president.
