Stage Band's excellence pleases their new director By Jane Sapp Under the direction of Edward Gooding, the six- teen members of stage band this year performed at Back to School night in November, a concert on December 16, and participated in fund raising events for the band. They played a more contem- porary style of music than the other bands in the school. Being in stage band gave me the oppor- tunity to play more modern selections than they play in concert band, stated saxophonist David Wood- bury. From their excellent performances it is ob- vious Mr. Gooding had a positive effect on all the band members. Stage band is a lot more exciting this year because of our new director, Mr. Gooding, stated member Ricky Ramos.
