Band members work hard for better Marching Band By Sam Danon Marching under the leadership of a new band director, Mr. Edward Gooding, Coral Park's Blue and Gold Band turned a lot of effort into success. Marching band is a lot of fun because it com- bines playing music with movement. lt is also a lot of hard work, said Jenny Penkosky, drum major. Band practice started two weeks before school began under the hot summer sun. Once school began the band practiced two hours after school everyday for the duration of the football season. The many hours of practicing paid off.
