People love rest, relaxation during summer vacations By Teresa DeFrancesco A vacation is an interval of time devoted to rest and relaxation from home and study. Last summer quite a number of students went on vacations all over the world. A couple of students went to Europe, specifically Spain and the French Alps. A popular vacation spot was the Bahamas. !'Going to the Bahamas really made my summer great. l en- joyed shopping for souvenirs and drinking Pina Coladas by the pool while listening to the music of the Goombay Festival, commented Heidi Marino, a junior. Localized vacations are more common now because of inflation. Arieon Staff works hard to provide 1981 yearbook By Nivaldo Quintana This past year the Arieon staff worked in bringing the 1981 Arieon to completion. Much emphasis was placed on photography and decreasing the number of errors in the book. The staffs hard work helped to produce a 380 page book. Other than writing copy, taking pictures, and designing layouts, the Arieon staff introduced a Jeans and Tee-Shirt contest and added a special section honoring outstanding seniors. Each senior recognized had a brief summary of their special talent along with a picture of their unique qualities. The most difficult part in putting together the yearbook was that this year we had to meet earlier deadlines in order to get the book Hnished in school earlier. This added extra pressure to everyone on the staff, stated Alex Valdes Recio, editor-in-chief. Before typing her copy block, sophomore Ana lnguanzo looks for a piece of paper.
