Talent helps Girls' Soccer team overcome inexperience BY PIERRE DWYER Sports Editor The girls' soccer team completed their fourth year of varsity competiton under the direction of Coach Phil Valente showing great enthusiasm throughout the year. Since last year's squad consisted mainly of seniors, many promising new players were given a chance to exhibit their potential. Practices began early in February and continued through the soccer season, which consisted of 10 games. Outstanding players on the team this year were Marilyn Nlarante, Karin Trimble, and Valerie Bryant. The ef- forts of these more experienced players helped lead the team to their winning season. 'AThe fantastic attitude that these girls had expressed since the beginning of the season left no doubt in my mind that they would do very well and have a successful season, said Coach Valente. ,Y , -fswiii.- 1.1 .
