P j . ib-,wi N OUR COMMUNITY ., , I w F W I 2 FOREWORD They say our generationis shiftless as the sands on a seashore and as movable as a tree blowingin the wind. Upon leaving high school the world before us has a new politics -- Don't win. It has a new theology -- Godis dead. Our world has a new morality -- Anything goes. Our lives are lived out in a new climate -- The Great Society. This is our world. It is a world looking for some foot- prints to follow in the era of The Organ- ization Man. As the palm sways in the wind, so does our civilization as it con- tinues to look for a rock of security. Some have found that solid rock in a storm tossed era. Our rock is Jesus Christ, God's Son, Who came to earth, paid the death penalty for our sins, and then as a free gift, offered to all for- giveness of sins and eternal life. He saved us not because of any works or righteousness on our part but because of His mercy which none of us deserve. Having accepted His gift of salvation it is possible to say with Isaiah, teach us of His ways and help us follow His path- way -- step by step by step. May those of us who have His name leave His footprints 'lon the sands of time. xx Qu! X, Y I l M :V W. Although the outcome for these games was not en- couraging, the experience gained led M.C.S. to victories over schools in our own Class. Friday games were held away from the home court and took the team and cheerleaders from Key West to Fort Myers to Hollywood. Saturday games were before large and lively crowds at the Miami Springs Gym. Only four members of the team were Seniors so that most of the players will be experienced when they come back next year, ready to Go, Fight, and Win. BELOW: Kneeling, LEFT TO RIGHT: Margie Mounger.
