Periodically a bell N' ' Q rings and then the hallways are 2 F' crowded and buzzing, But each time it soon turns into peace and quiet again. About halfway through the 9 ' ' afternoon the surge of voices and feet heads toward the buses, As ,eo the sun travels nearer to the western QM QASK horizon, all that remains to be seen of the invading horde is a cloud of dust. BED uPoN C9 This is a picture of a typical day at MCS. But this alone could be any school, What is it that makes our school differ ent from any other school? Miami Christian School is founded on the principle shown in Proverbs 2.Z:6: Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it, In reaching this goal, each day is begun with a time of prayer and devotions. There is prayer before each class and one whole period each day is devoted to the study of God's Word, These things are good, but to make them avail in our lives we must pray and believe that God will work in each student in the school, This is what we are endeavoring to do at Miami Christian H School, H A ma v was E21 mama Ms. Em E. There are time s when it seems like it will never get done. When the final copy is sent off, We start won- dering if we forgot to do something or did it wrong. J. And so it was that on September 4, l96Z, classes at MCS began for the 62-63 school year. One of the first things we noticed was the progress in our new building. Day by day we watched our prayers being, answered as the new classrooms and showers went up. To get our school year off to a good start, we had Rev. Woody Watkins as the special speaker for our Spiritual Emphasis Week. We all recieved a double blessing from his playing and preaching. E601 IIHOW !ll fx fx ,fjfgx f SX Q w- 'us Q lx ff!
