Vocational Machine Shop Ths purpose of Vocational Machine Shop is to acquire the knowledge, basic principles and operation of machine tools. Ma- chine tools make the working parts for all machines and equip- ment used in the production of goods and services. They are used to make parts for household appliances such as radios, televisions, refrigerators, washing machines, sewing machines, and vacuum cleaners. Machine tools are also used to make parts for transportation equipment such as trucks, automobiles, trains, ships, airplanes, space vehicles and for manufacturing mining, agriculture and con- struction equipment. Our objectives are to teach the ideas, attitudes, habits and skills of the metal working trade, so that a student may be ready to enter the metal working industry upon graduation.
