Diversified Mechanics Undecided about what you want to do in life? Why not look into Diversified Mechanics? This course is taught by Mr. John Warwick and is offered to 10, 11, and 12th grade students, in blocks of 1 or 2 hours, depending on stu- dents choice. During this time they study woodworking, furniture refinishing, blue print reading, electrical shop, metal working, and small engine work. Unlike other de- partments, there is no trade certificate awarded at gradu- ation, but if a student is proficient, a job will be provided for him. Electronics There exists an urgent need for trained personnel in most industries and professions. Among the most urgent demands is that for electronics tech- nicians. Miami Central department of Electronics Technology is attempting to fulfill this need. We offer a program which immediately enables a student, upon graduation, to obtain a job. How- ever, most of the students feel they have obtained a sufficient background to enable them to obtain a degree. Partially due to the best equipped lab in the State of Florida, many of the graduates of this program attend some of the best colleges in the country, including Georgia Tech, M.1I.T.; and Carnegie Tech. t
