Or- ganized to promote an interest in radio communication, they were a technically oriented social group that took trips to local transmitter sights. Sam Gonzalez works on a TV in the area competition Mark Huna and Louis Gehring led MCC's entries in Area V VICA competition by winning first place in Graphic Com- munications and Auto Mechanics. Tom Yarb took third in Radio!TV. MCC's VICA hosted the first annual area contest ever held at MCC. In addition to the opportunity to meet members from other schools and exchange information, the contest was especially helpful to seniors who were looking for employment and employment skills. VICA involved juniors and sophomores as well. Various industrial, technical, health and service programs provided in- dividual help, as well as effective commu- nity improvement. VICA l
