' A What a year for DECA - three district offices and a homecoming display that will be long remembered by mem- bers and guests alike. At the district convention held last fall at the Sheraton Four Ambassadors, five dis- trict officers were elected. Three of them - President Wil- lie Edwards, Vice President Cheryl Duncan, and Treasurer Jorge Hevia - were from MCC. It took many hours to design and complete the Time Tunnel for Homecoming, but it was worth it. The Tunnel took third in homecoming decorations and was one of the most popu- lar around. Approximately 1,000 people visited it. Competition in district con- tests for display, advertising, retail merchandising, and pub- lic speaking, among other areas, and preparing for their annual Employer-Employee banquet kept members busy in the spring. 108 f DECA QU.
