Band mai-S in BLACK SUNDAY Miami Carol City students have a history of being generous with their time when it comes to helping others less fortunate. The school calendar is dotted with walk-a- thons, swim-a-thons, type-a- thons, and special projects and drives for those who need help, loc- ally and even internationally. One of the most unusual chances to help others was given to local re- sidents in January and February when the motion picture BLACK SUNDAY was being filmed in the Orange Bowl. The producers of- fered to make films for United Fund if United Fund could find enough volunteers for the cast for a few weeks of shooting. The response was great, and MCC students were among the thousands who gave of their spare time to help out. The band was one of several that performed for the crowds and the cameras. Top - This model of the blimp was used for trick shots in the movie, The real Goodyear blimp was also used. Middle - Kelly Bibey helps United Fund. Bottom - The Band rests between per- fomiances. 953 l BLACK SUNDAY
