The team was red hot in the first half and led 25-7 at halftime. SOMERSET 46-23 Somerset's Class A District 5 Champs came to town confident of an easy victory, but they were surprised by the Raiders ability to control the rebounds from the much taller Eagles. At halftime, the score was 14-16 in Somerset's favor. In the middle of the third quarter, the Raiders lost three first stringers on fouls. From there on the Eagles pulled way ahead. ROCKXVOOD 25-36 Meyersdale playing on Rockwood's cracker box floor stayed with the Mainliners for three quarters. At halftime the score was tied 13-13. The Class B Champs spearheaded by their big 6 ft. 4 in. center had a de- cisive advantage in playing on their small floor. The size of the court hindered the Raiders from playing their usual game. 57
