Our Raiders handed out plenty of punishment this past year. Of course, they had some in return, but it was worth it. GENES BOYS . . . Basketball john R055-john played a forward and is a junior. He excelled in one handed shots from out front and also in driving in for lay up shots. In spite of his height, John was the teams high scorer and was very aggressive. Don Beal-Don teamed up with Ross to give the team a pair of small but efficient forwards. Don collected most of his points on one handed push shots from the side and was usually the pay off man on fast break plays. Russ W'eimer-Russ was the tallest man on the squad and put his height to good use in controlling the rebounds off both bank-boards. His favorite was a long one handed push shot from the side. Russ is a senior and co-captain of the squad. fuck Hamplon- Bugs, as he is known to his teammates, is a senior and co-captain of the team. Jack scored most of his points on left hand hook shots from the pivot and on rebound taps. Bugs was also a good defensive man and helped control the boards. lim Hojffmeyer-jim moved up from the Junior Varsity last year to be- come a member of the starting five this year. Moss, earned his position through his accuracy on two handed set shots from the corner. He also aided Russ and Jack in controlling the rebounds. 56
