One thing she stressed was that students who have worked on the school papers, are able to read a newspaper intelligently and that,is vitally important at the present time. A convention is not complete without some social activity and ours was a dance in the Imperial Ballroom of the Webster Hall with an orchestra from one ofthe Pittsburgh High Schools. The banquet was also held at Webster Hall and here we met many new friends among whom was a little English refugee. He had been in America onl three months. It was sur rising to hear him tell about all Y the battles that the British had won in the past wars. The last afternoon we were allowed to do an thin we wished-see a footballvame, fo sho in Y, visit Hein: Y li is l- PP 21 Plant or Buhl Plantetarium.
