Scratchie, alias Bill Critchfield thinks there is no one like Elaine R.-maybe he's related to Tennyson, who knows?. . .Dwire and Fuzz were there with guys-ers f Old Faithful, get itj Gates made up his mind, so he said, and it's Red, poetry. . .all right I'll declare a five minute recess while you shovel out the corn. . .Santa brought Grof a red sweater, Ibetcha. . .Pfahler was there with his wife- to-be or. . .oh, there I go! High School have learnt me too much. . .Pardon, monsieur and if you're not a monsieur, madamoselle, my clear friend William Shakespeare again but. . .Me thinks Spike spent entirely too much time dancing with a college friend UD . . .Changing the film, we go on location No. H20 where Mr. Livengood is preparing to shoot a scene for a Popular Science short instead of a chemical reaction between Dot Barrnoy and Desmond. We could not miss the Three Stooges either, in the competition the kids offer. . .Off loca- tion now and just a few tidbits about various actors and actresses of Our Town . . .Iwon- der if moustaches tickle Berkley? Ha, Ha, it tickles me too, but not in the same way. . .Earle gave Doris his heart-in gold! We wonder if Joan Brown is thinking of writing a Parady and Vernon Jr? If you don't get the drift, wait till winter comes. . .M-M-Mapes, don't scare Rita Carouse. . .It's generally known about town that Zip is two-thirds married. . .He's willing and the preacher's willing. We heard that Pauline likes to Walk-er around . . .Elouine Arnold's latest interest. . . to tickle the ivories . . .Mary Fratini and Amelia Harris holding down the street corner, talking about their latest?! Z !. . .We thought Mary Durr was going to desert us for matrimony-but she fooled us. . .B. Kennel, D. Daughton and M. Smith are running close competition with the Andrew Sisters with their version of NUS on a Bus . . .Those gals can really harmonize.. .Paul Smith spends much of his time at our Bright Spots . . .and not alone either.. .He said that that was his mother with him-we weren't born yesterday, Paul. Our rambling sports cameraman has three sports events to offer for the year. . .He's on loca- tion No. 40-41. . .Let's eavesdrop. . .the crowd is swelling. . .watching the gate as the crowd moves in we see. . .N. Brieg just stepped in, in a brand new Rhapachelli crea- tions. . .P. Burkholder has just arrived her French accent . . .T. Bruno has just stepped out and we know it's time to watch the game participants instead of the spectators .... the team has just stepped out on the field. . . they're running past the review stand .... C. Glime, D. Beynon, V. Bungard, J. Mckenzie, C. Bowman, K. Ringler, B. Swearman, E. Werner, A. Quattro, H. Cook, and that new comer to stage and screen .... The Little Man Who Wasn't There .... The score was quite a coincidence. . .ten to nothing .... get it? Y? .... O. K.. . . .Now start those basketball scenes .... Flash the pictures with the names and positions in this order . . . J. Suder, center. . .P. Dunbar, right guard . . . .J. Klink, left guard. . . .H. Mosholder, forward .... L. Wenzel ....... center The games with Shade, Berlin, Boswell, and Grantsville convinced us of two things. First, it proves that the boys can play when they have a student body, back of them cheering. Second, it proved that Hschool spirit is not dead in M. l-l. S. . .just napping for several months. We've actually seen several hundred people wild with excitement. Students, teachers, parents, and friends yelled, cheered and stamped their feet .... and they did it as if they meant it. We haven't won many games, but they have been games well played. With such Hfirstu stringmen as Long, Kemp, Reich, Pfeiffer and Reiber, .... just Sophomores, our hopes for the next two years are sky-high. Page 31
