.1- Qu MRS MARY VALENTINE FRALEY Mrs Mary Valentune Fraley has been the Meyers Lubraruan organuzung the Lubrary un the begunnung and keepung ut goung ever sunce She has worked wuth and for students faculty and parents and has done more and worked more for Meyers than can ever be estumated Outsude her actual school dutues Mrs Fraley has headed the cuty teachers organuzatuon worked on state and natuonal commuttees for teachers and done a host of thungs for other groups lnterestung us one fact about her many actuvutues she has held offuce un every group she has ever belonged to Mrs Fraley was graduated from Wulson Col lege and has addutuonal degrees from Drexel Unuversuty School of Lubrary Scuence and New York Unuversuty She now has gone to a new job un a fueld other than school work and we wush her contunued success wuth all our hearts We shall thunk of her often see her often too we hope and of course we shall muss her MRS MARY BURKE BRISLIN homemakung classes for homemakung un realuty She has started so many gurls off on careers and started them as workers un theur own homes Her cookung and sewung classes over the years reflect her own enthusuasm and warmth and what she could do un turnung a lot of athletes unto a row of chorus gurls us somethung we can never forget Petute and charmung systematuc and always alert when thus lady leaves us she wull leave her umage un our hearts MRS MARY VALENTINE I-'RALEY MRS DOROTHY DANA LEIBY MISS JEAN DEOBOLD MISS MARGUERITE HARVEY To keep the record straught we want to mentuon three who recently left Meyers and went to new and different scenes Mrs Dorothy Dana Leuby who was our Duetucuan marrued and moved to Massachusetts more than a year ago and we do not doubt she remembers our Cafeterua and yet probably never wants to see ut agaun We luke to remember her and are glad we do see her occasuonally back un our cuty Muss Jean Deobold of the Physucal Educatuon Department dud not return to Meyers thus autumn but went on to do her beautuful water ballet and coach her athletuc teams and teach students at the college level We who are stull un hugh school classes and on the Faculty remember her gay spurut and skull un her vocatuon We hope she us happy and we know she us successful Muss Marguente Harvey was not on the Meyers Faculty many years but when she left we felt a voud and hope her antuque shop and many hobbues have guven her a happy year A if f l I . r 1 !. SALUTATICN S To Those Who Go To Greener Pastures When the time comes to have men and women who have long been members of our faculty go on to other interests and other jobs and leave our school, we have mixed feelings about the changes. We wish only the best lor them. We lreep all the regrets for ourselves. Mr Stephen J Millard has taught all the Meyers classes in Mechanical Drawing He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and has taught at many dlllerent schools After an initial year in a small school he taught for two years at the university where he graduated and continued on their summer staff for several years more H was at Scranton Tech for eight years and GAR for three and has been at Meyers since its first year pairing and malung stringe instruments as a hobby His summers are spent at Cape Cod and if it isnt llshlng he lilies best just the easy relaxation of the place is enough to draw him baclr We like his quiet manner and his nice sense of humor and the way he seems to enjoy his contacts at Meyers We shall greatly miss him now that the time has come for him to retire . . . e I Mr. Millard is also a rofessional musician playing violin, viola, and cello, and re- . . . , . . . .
