MARY ANN SCHWAB Brevity is the soul of wit. Mary Ann is the girl with the choice comments. She can under- take responsibility and do things well. To one with sincerity only good things come. FRED SCHWARTZ The spirit indeed is willing. High in spirit, satisfied with things as they are, and a nice hello for all, that depicts Fred. Dispositions as calm and nice as his are hard to find-don't lose yours. DONALD SEELEY If you do well the joy remains. Encore, Encore, why that boy's terrific! If you havenzg heard the mellow strainsgof Butch's voice, you don't know what you've been missing. With w' and humor tool RUTH SHAFER A cheerful temper joined with innocent will. Dramatic and expressive are two worgj certainly describing our Ruthie, the hit of the Senior Play. What lovely equipment she'll for some office. RITA SHEA Gentle of speech, beneficial of mind. This diminutive miss with her sweet ways has at- tracted many friends during her years at Meyers. This gal was an active member of the Archery Club, and many a boy wouldn't mind being pierced with her arrow. LUCILLE SHINKO Little said is soonest mended. The quiet miss of '56 is glowing with golden charm. Anytime, anywhere, Lucille is willing to help. How nice she isl Sugar couldn't be sweeter. MARLYN SIMON i All tongues speak of her. Anyone who saw the Senior Play knows of Marlyn's vivacioui personality. Tops in everything she undertakes, and anxious to participate in activities of al kinds. You qualify for a future parallel with the best. LORETTA SKAFF , Be merry is you are wise. Dancing is Loretta's favorite pastime, from what we hear she is pretty good at it. Can such a carefree, peppy gal have anything but a life of pep? MARIE SLABINSKI There is in her soul sympathy with sound. Pretty as a picture herself, Marie is going tg draw gictures. Wilkes, a career in art, and fun always, that is her goal. Skill and imaginatio are w at you have. KATHERINE SMITH True delicacy is pure refinement. Sweet and simple with only nice things to say. You Eever see Kathy unless you see her with a pleasant expression on her face. She's terrific-aslc er pa s. GEORGE SMITH The better part of valour is discretion. Intelligence plus a personality to equal it. As our Iunior Class speaker he was great. Scholastically, George is on the top of the pile. He is sure to keep our forests a vivid green. CAROL EDITH soLoMoN f A fine girl, a fine mind. Carol is a firm believer in her own opinions, and they ar usually quite logical. As President of the Kegian Society she showed her leadership. She's surg to possess such qualities always. l MARCIA SPEIZMAN l Nothing endures like personal quality. How true this is. Marcia, that cute, likeable miss! is certainly admired by many. Her activities included just about everything, even being Presidentl of the Choir. What terrific spirit. BARBARA ANN SULLIVAN Let me say that she was fair. Listen to the mello strains of that sax. That's Barb. N03 only has she gone far with her music, but she is also a capable athlete. just think all tha talent packed into one gorgeous figure.

IOANNE PAVALONIS No legacy is so rich as honesty. Her accordian technique can set any foot a tappin'. Sweet tempered is an adjective that describes our Ioanne. With her agreeable personality, we're sure she will have many frinds all through life. IOSEPH PERUGINO He is great who is what he is from nature. Peri, as he is known to his score of friends, is trully a man about the class. His good looks are topped off with a vibrant personality and friend y manner. WILLIAM PETERS I l I do present you with a man of ours, cunning in music. Keyboard Kapers that take your breath away. Bill is just about the most musically inclined ,member of our class. He does for piano music what Houdini did for magic. HANNA MAE PHILLIPS Her virtues very kind. Hanna is quiet and reserved, but her assuring manner seems to accumulate friends. We know she will have little trouble getting along with everyone always. CUMMINGS PIATT Must share it, happiness was born a twin. This towering Gln tackle has proved himself with the pigskin and in other sports. He is gre ogdoaigy a,' fassroom. Bobby has displayed marvelous sportsmanship on the football ie in a ways. IOANNE PLUTO Grace was in her steps, heaven in her eye. The best adjective to describe Ioanie is vivid. lWith her beautiful complexion and extensive wardrobe, she is one of the prettiest girls in our c ass. EILEEN POWELL Think not I am only what I appear. Looking for a good thing in a small package? Well, here's Eileen. With her effervescent personality and sparkling smile, she has gained many friends. IDA PRICE The mirror of all courtesy. Ida, sweet as apple cider might have been written for our Ida. Always cheerful, a ways smiling, Ida will go far on the sea of life. IOSEPH PRICE Handsome is that handsome does. Tall, light, and oh so good looking. Ioe's sense of humor is one of rare quality and he can generally be found surrounded by admirers. Don't let this gl you because this great football player is really quite shy-but it's most becoming. . e is t lady's dream man, and oh! what a build. As a guard on the fottball team to vidtory. Q 'GQ' MARGARET ROLLMAN Of manners gentle, of affections mild. ..,. Our Peggy is one of the sweetest and best liked girls in the Senior Class. She's always smiling, and -has a cheerful word at all times. We hope her most fortunate boss will realize that very few possess so many fine qualities- Peggy, your charms are a delight. G VE ear I ve, his only care. This practical jokester is a pretty popular boy around o P PATRICIA SAYLOR Some credit is being jolly. We're sure Pat's sincerity and cheerfulness will rate her as one of the best always. This tall, brunette was that striking strutter that captured many an admiring glance. IRENE SCHIMMEL ' Severe, and resolute, and still, and calm, and self-possessed. Schim is one of our fashion plates with her many clothes. Penn State will certainly appreciate her winning smile and determined manner. She's one person who can truly be called a real pal.

CHARLENE VONDERAU The pen is the tongue of the mind. Charlene is just about the newest addition to our class and just about the nicest you could hope for. Many a wonderful poem has come from her pen, and many a pleasant word from her tongue. We're glad you came. IAMES WARD Begin, promptly, whatever you have to do. Iimmy is that fun loving, likeable guy who is an asset to any classroom. Of course, his exceptional good looks warrant many admiring glances from the girls. Your disposition will be your guide post to happiness. BEATRICE WEIDLICH A pleasing countenance is no slight advantage. This genuine sweetness that Beatie has is what has made her so outstanding. Beatie never refuses a job and it is always well done. ELEANOR WHEELER . Music is well said to be the speech of angels. Ellie is always ready to please. With a beautiful, melodious voice, this gal certainly compliments our Modern Choir. An excellent student and a loyal friend-that she is. CAROLYN WHITE An ounce of mirth is worth a pound of sorrow. Bubbling over with fun and frolic-never a care in the world-you bet it's Carolyn. A beaming smile that is almost always present is hers. EDWARD WICKHISER He is noble in every thought in everyday. Always ready to crack a joke. Surprisingly enough in spite of his humor Ed is really quite shy. The forecast for Ed looks good, because little said is best done. IOSEPH WNOROWSKI Patience and gentleness is power. Ioe is tops on a basketball court, and looks mighty good dribbling that ball. This tall, good looking lad was an active and dependable member of the Student Council. May your stairway to success have only golden footprints. HILDA WOOD By the work, one knows the workmen. Delightful wit, sparkling personality, help us to understand why Hilda has so many friends. She is one who excels frequently, and is also mighty dependable. EDWARD XANTHOPOULAS My appetite comes to me while eatingf' Small he may be, but big things will surely come his way. His humor was the classroom delight, and his abi ity on the wrestling mat will always be on the record. ELEAN OR YOUNG. Her yes once said to you, shall be yes for evermoref' This attractive brunette not only excels in her schoolwork, but is active in many extra-curricular activities, such as hockey and basketball. The nicest part of Eleanor's personality is that it never changes. BERNARD ZATCOPF Thoughts too strong to be suppressed. Fun prevails when Bernie is around. This easy going member of our basketball team is a welcome sight at anytime. Bernie can pep anyone up with his clever wit. Accounting will someday claim his fame. IRA ZATCOFF He gains wisdom in a happy way. This intelligent lad can be found joking with his classmates anytime. Ira's quick humor has added much to the excitment of a classroom. Need a good engineer? Iust wait a few years and Ira will be ready, willing, and able. BERNARD ZBIEG Modesty becomes a young woman. Her life is devoted to mildness. Never a mean look or an unkind word from this amiable girl. Some people truly deserve the best and this gal certainly oes. MARY ELLEN ZWIEBEL A lovely being, sweetly formed and molded. Charming, that's Mary Ellen. No com- plaints about anyone, and nice to all. Mary Ellen has been a faithful worker on the Elm- print staff, and we know her dependability will never cease. Pretty and precise, is she.
