So now, to dear old Meyers High, We proudly stand and sing, While clear against the azure blue, Thy honored name we fling. Loud and long When we must leave thy guiding hand, To take our place in life, Then we will keep thy honor clear, Through all our joy and strife And when the hand of memory Rolls back time's gathering haze, We'll pause once more, as now we do, To sing again thy praise. Chorus Let us raise the song of glory As thy banners of truth Proudly fly On through life, in our hearts We will cherish Steadfast forever, Meyers High. Words: Ellen Roberts, '32 Music: Mrs. Annette Gilbert Wiggins

lllr. Rebel: Wood As head of the machine shop for the past twenty six years, Mr. Wood has displayed skill as well as the neces- sary understanding and patience so valuable in the teach- ing profession. He attended the Wilkes-Barre City schools, and received his Mechanical Engineering degree through the Penn State Extension and Scranton Corres- pondence Schools. Mr. Wood's family also attended Meyers. The exhibitions of work accomplished by his stu- dents have been exceptional, and show him to be a real artist in metal, and able to pass on his knowledge to de- voted students. We will always regard our association with him as a very valuable experience. lllr. john bulzu Retiring from the position of chief custodian, which he has held for twenty six years, Mr. Iohn Dukes leaves Meyers with a host of friends. While Mr. Dukes has been at Meyers, his children and now his grandchildren have been students. Besides being employed here at Meyers, Mr. Dukes was also a member of the Mainten- ance Staffs of Grant, North Main, and G.A.R. schools. He will long be thought of with admiration and apprecia- tion. So much has depended upon him, and he has given us so much that was extra and above the call of duty that we can feel that Meyers could hardly have gotten along without him. He has a place in our remembrance that will never be filled. ASSOCIATED WITH MR. DLIKES ARE ROBERT DAVIS. GOMER IONES. ROBERT YOUNG, ALBERT MILZ. AND CARL STEINHAUER.
