EVAN THOMAS JONES Ruddy is certainly not a woman's man. He likes fishing and hunting and would like to live in a log cabin in the woods. He plays the trumpet, so maybe that will keep him compa- ny. liut before taking to the woods, hc is going to school in Virginia. Do them both well, Buddy. PATRICIA F. JUDGE This beautiful blonde is capable of doing just anything. Patsy is all scholastic, loves swimming and horseback riding, and is a very good artist. She's in the Usher's Club and Poster Club. Her ambition is to go to college and later lead a luxurious life. Here's hoping, Pat. SAMUEL SOL KAHAN Sam's always a lot of fun, and once he starts singing or jitter-bugging, it is difficult to stop him. He just loves his school teachers! l-le will probably go into business after he finishes college. JAMES E. KINGSBURY Being co-editor of the Colophon is a full-time job, but this boy finds time to be very active member in many other affairs around the school. He's quite keen on sports. Jim is witty, good natured, and in- telligent. If the veterans don't take up all the space in Penn State he hopes to squeeze in, Keep trying, Jiin. THELMA M. KLINE This lass is definitely college mate- rial. Her desire to go to college is not too surprising if you know her. Typewriting makes the day bright for her, and we understand she is quite good at it. Keep working Tl'hel , success is just ahead. THERESA KLOSE Theresa is the essence of sweetness. She is quiet and reserved,-but her teachers will tell you she is 20mg places. She tries hard. That's what counts. X BARBARA FRANCES KOH L Always dressed to perfection, per- sistently cheerful, Barbara has won a host of friends during her stay at Meyers. With such a zest for liv- ing, she will find happiness in what- ever she does. RUTH ELEANOR KORN Ruth is happy-go-lucky, but takes her school work seriously. She day- dreams and is afraid of the dark. Shorthand rates high with her, but bookkeeping is on the bottom of the list. Someone is going to have a nice office clerk some day. UOLORES KOVAL Though artiscally inclined, contrary to legend, this lass is an adaptable, good-natured, friendly person. She has entertained us with her musical talent in various chapel exercises. She gives promise of going far in her field, Yf MlLlJRE Millie ' ye possessor of a cl? r onality. A member Y,f,,f-fo the honor societies and a whiz at basketball, she is popular with boys and ' ' alike. She will not soon M t by derc ssmen or Kyteachers. , ' MARGARET KRESGE Margaret is classified as a thinker. She prepares her home work andl then sits and broods. With a per- sonality like hers she should step out and enjoy life. MARVIN SAMUEL LANIDER Marv's shyness is outstanding, but when he's around girls, watch it disappear. His hobby is record col- lecting, and he listens to the music in his leisure moments. He hopes to go in the navy after he graduates -here's to you sailor.

JAMES VINCENT HANNAGAN Here's a guy who loves to eat and sleep, but in between these times he's really swell. Someday, after a long rest, he intends to be an electrician and eventually retire. I-Ie is sure to make good. LEWIS HARRIS l'Iverybody's friend. Lew has won the affection of everyone with his happy-go-lucky smile and easy manner. This was proved by his being elected treasurer of the class. His chief interest is sports. The skill he showed on the football field made his name known to all, ROBERT FRANK HARRISON Rob has the firm conviction that sleep is more advantageous to the English student than Milton. Through his personality and inter- est in library work, he was chosen as a Kegian Club officer, and has been agreeable to all. .IACQUELINE M. HAUBERGER If some day Jackie inherits a few hundred dollars she'd like to visit France. With her pretty face she'd get along quite well. But until she gets the money she'll have to be someone's beautiful typist. RICHARD HARRISON HAWK Dick's hobby is spending his leisure time at the Y. M. C. A. where he has a lot of fun. His choice subject is mathematics. He doesn't know what kind of work he'd like to do yet, but whatever it is we hope he will come out on top. MARION E. HIGHRITER Attractive, dependable, and highly intelligent, Marion is one of' the most prominent members of this graduating class. We have no fear concerning her future, for she will surely succeed in any field she chooses. As co-editor-in-chief' of this Colophon and leading lady in the Senior Play she has been busy, and most successful. GERTRUDE E. HOFI ENS'I'EI N Here's a gal who really exemplifies good things come in small packages. Trudy is one of' the brains of the class. She would like to enter Duke University, and after that go in for journalism. Whatever she does, she'll come out on top. WILLIAM JAMES HOLLAND Bill, the highlight of all our sports, is one all around fellow, and tops in any man's language. Ily the way, he doesn't particularly like physics. He will leave a name at Meyers that all will long remember. LOIS KATH ERINE HI IPEW ELL Lois helps keep our library straight and We thank her for it. She loves to dance and her favorite pastime is skating. She'll make a wonderful wife for someone some clay. VIRGINIA RUTH .IIMISON Mere words seem incapable of ex- pressing the admiration and respect we hold for this truly outstanding girl. Beauty, intelligence, and a sweet personality insure her a happy but as yet undecided future. CLAIRE MARY JOHNSON Claire is headed for Misericordia College, but is not sure what she'd like to study. Her hobby is dancing -we wonder with whom? She is one of those lucky ones who finds mathematics easy. Is it luck or ability '? SHIRLEY JOHNSON This star guard on the girls' basket- ball team never fails to stick to her man. She's an ardent Senior Scout. Loads of' luck to you Shirley in your college career, With your brains you'll surely make good in your chosen field, chemistry.

ROBERT DANIEL L EVINE llob is one of those boys everybody likes. Although he is quiet, he leads an active life. He plays the trumpet and would like to be in a big band. He also likes farming. Who knows, maybe he'll be a second Little Iioy Blue . JACK LEWIS Jack's care-free manner and pleas- ing grin have made him a hit with everyone. He likes to take life easy , but when a job's to be done he's up and at it. MARY ANN LEWIS This young lady is a contradiction unto herself. She said that some fifteen to twenty years hence she wants to be just the same, only different . If you can do it, you deserve a medal, Don't change, we like you as is . LENURE LINSHES This studious young miss partici- pated in many activities throughout her high school career. She loves school and spends her leisure time doing home work. Lenore was one of our lovely majorettes. Her am- bition is to go into merchandising school. Good luck, beautiful! ROBERT LIPENSKI Iiob has loads of ambition and cer- tainly leads a life of varied inter- ests. His hobby is hunting-women or animals-I don't know. He spends his spare moments that way. After school he is going to General Motors to learn more about ma- chines. Hope you get that auto- mobile agency some day, Bob. MARILYN LOVE Busy, busy, busy, always something to do. But you can bet your boots that it's certainly worthwhile. We are sure a happy career awaits you. What a nice name to start on. KATHRYN ISABELLE MACKING She can propel a typewriter as fast as lightning strikes-well almost. Kate typed many a bulletin for us Her hobby is drawing, and she hopes to go to art school in New York. Her busy lingers never fail to do the job well, JUAN MARIE MADIJEN Joan is 100W Irish and proud of it. She is competent and exceedingly quiet in all her actions. Her special hobby is swimming, at which she is exceptionally good. To her we ex- tend a wish for a happy future. MARY J. MALINOWSKI Mary is one of our popular seniors. She has the honor of being presi- dent of the Commercial Club. Her favorite subject is bookkeeping and some day she hopes to do account- ing. You would surely be a success. , ,f Axis ' ,, . A7 Avi 'go . ff ANDREW M ARY Football was Andy's one pleasure while in high school. After leaving us he would like to become an undertaker. Did we bring that on ourselves? He is definite about everything he does, and with this determined start in life, we predict an interesting and successful future. 'f-Q'-r3.7 o LILLIAN JANET MAMARY Vim, vigor, and vitality describe Lilly. She believes there shouldn't be home work and likes class dis- cussions. She likes to sing, and is happy when doing so. Her aim is to have a career in business. We know you can achieve it. LUIS MA NG EL Want to know an answer? Ask Lois. This young lady is a member of both honor societies, and is really very brilliant. In future years, she hopes to travel, have an education, a little success, and then marriage. Whatever she attempts to do, you can count on her being on top!
