DONALD DAVID THOMAS Topper is one of the vocational boys. That is one reason the rest of the students do not see much of him. We're sure he will give the Axis a piece of our minds. Joe would like to be a doctor some day and his determination will get him tlwre. LENORE ELIZABETH TRAX Lenore is one of the bashful girls until you get to know her and then! Her hobby is roller skating. Since you do not intend to further your education we wish you best of luck in the future, wherever and what- ever it may be. BETTY MAE TREDINN ICK Betty can always be seen around the rooms that are connected with the commercial subjects. I-ler main pastime is skating which she can do really well. Good luck in your coming years, Betty. MARIAN CLAIRE TUCKER This girl has high ambitions and wo hope she will get to the top. Music' seems to be her line for in her leisure time she studies opera and after school she would like to go to Europe and study music further. LOIS CLARE VAN NORMAN Likes school for the friends she meets-and does she have a pile of them? . . . sings for a hobby . . . is seen at all of our games and is one of the best supporters of our teams . . . favorite subject is his- tory. JOHN HENRY VICARY Hobby is bowling . . . active, likes people . . . keeps the home-fire burning. Wants to get in the Navy. When war is over would like to travel. In twenty years he wants to be successful and have a home and family. Good luck, Vic and go to it. ZENON RANDOLPH WA LL Zenon is often seen whizzing along on his motorcycle-get out of the way, quick! Plays the piano any way you want, fast, slow, or even boogy woogy. Plans to become a surgeon and in twenty years hopes to be a good doctor. Best of luck!

CARL LOUIS SHAVER Likes to write, plans to be a ma- chinist, makes friends readily, GoIdy is independent and en- thusiastic. He will readily laugh when the joke is on him and never begrudges anyone his dues. Best of luck, Goldy . ERN EST RAYMOND SIEGEL Ernie's hobbys are nature study and airplane building . . . favorite high school subject is electric shop which he hopes to make his life work. In twenty years he hopes to be an electrician with too much money. HAROLD EDWIN SMITH Music by means of a trumpet is Hanks hobby and pastime . . . wants to go into it seriously so he may make a living from it. ROBERT JULES SMITH Seen at all the games in his blue and gold with his trumpet, Squeege likes music enough to make a hobby of it and plays very well . . . is planning to continue on to college . . . has lots of friends . . . hopes to be married and with a good job in twenty years. ROBERT M. SMITH Head cheerleader, his wide grin and easy going manner have made him a man to reckon with even before his senior year. Be sure to put that M in,-even to emphasize it a little! 'film ' ALICE RUTH SNYDER This peaceful girl likes to spend her time fooling around a farm. We are able to understand this since her hobby is horses. After school she would like a good secre- tarial job or be happily married. Why not both? CLAIRE KENSEY SNYDER Claire is always around to help or participate in any activities. She intends to further her education at Bucknell and with her looks and in- telligence she can't go wrong. Good luck, Claire. GEORGE SOLOMON Iluddie is able to fix most any- thing . . . he is quick and able . . . would like to study life in the Orient . . . is quick to correct his faults . . . hopes for his life to be happy. MARY SOLOMON Mary is one of the quiet girls of Meyers who is always ready to go to a good show. Another one of her pastimes is listening to the radio. Good luck to you after we part. THEROS ALEXANDER SPANOS One of Mr. Wood's most faithful workers, is Ted , as any vocational student will tell you his favorite classes are shops and mechanical drawing. Many times has his trumpet given the call to the colors at the morning flag raising. No one has a nicer disposition-we will miss being with him. PEGGY IRENE STAI R Peggy will make a good wife for some man. I-low do I know 'I Why her special hobby is cooking. After high school she plans to do office work and also Red Cross work.

BETTY JANE WANDELL Jannie's motto is eat, sleep and be merry. Her hobby is keeping a scrapbook when she has time after participating in school activ- ities. She is always happy when we have movies in chapel, but zxrenyt we all? ARTHUR C. WARD Art would like to own and oper- ate his own farm but in the mean- time plans to work as a clerk. His favorite subject is math and his pet dislike is English. Art, also, gas joined the Navy. Good sailing, rt. EUGENE JOSEPH WASI LEWSKI Plug has become a familiar name in Meyers. He proved his ability, as president of the Ushers Club and editor of the Elmprint. No job is too big for this lad. We predict a brilliant future. LORAINE M. WASSERSTROM Wass would like to travel abroad after the war. She is wide awake, friendly, and always ready to help. Some day hopes to be married and have a family in the plural. RALPH ELWOOD WEAVER Penn State is where Ralph is headed. He likes math and all things mechanical. Dislikes about school most is the rule you must eat in school . . . hopes to be settled with a good job and money in the bank in twenty years. FRANCES ELAINE WENTZEL Frances will go far up the ladder of success. We know from what she has done here at Meyers. Chem- istry has been her favorite subject and with a liking like that how could we go wrong. M fi? .- e V ,, x... DAVID JOSEPH WERNER Dave is always with the gang if he isn't one jump ahead of it . . . he is cheerful . . . easy going . . . one of the active members of the Rifle Club and numerous others. Dave has joined the Marines and we know this lad will make good. GEORGE HARRY WESLEY A good trumpeteer, Wes can play almost anything on his trum- pet. He is a good dancer and does it whenever he can get a partner and music. Would like to fly all around the world. We hope you get your wish. EUGENE GERARD WEST A huntsman at heart, Gene would like nothing better than to be able to spend three-quarters of his time hunting. Hopes to make the Air Corps and we are sure he will make good. His favorite subject is arith- metic and he dislikes economics. WILLIAM GRAY WHEELER A super machinist, Bill is seen in machine shop every day. Parties and dances suit him to a T. School interests him because of the friends he makes. Wants to sail the seven seas with the U. S. Navy. DOROTHY JANE WILCOX Dot is the quiet type until you get to know her, but then you will change your mind about her. Her freevtime is spent in singing and playing the piano. She would like to take up music after high school. ELSIE WINESKI f'El plans to go to Wyoming Sem- inary after leaving us and take up typing and stenography. Her hob- by is sewing clothes which she does really well. In twenty years she hopes to have a job as a secretary or stenographer and own her own home.
