SHIRLEY ROTTMAN Sleeping and reading fwe guess eating tool are Shirlis favorite pastime when she finds time to do them. She plans to go to Penn State after leaving Meyers, where she will certainly make good. NANCY MARIE RUDDY Nancy plans to go to college after high school but she has not quite made up her mind to which one she will go. We hate to see this laugh- ing studious girl leave. We like her. ARTHUR THOMAS RUX If the crowd is laughing Jiggs is in the middle. He is one of Mr. Wood's best workers Qmayloe that is why they get along so welll. His favorite subject is gym. Good luck, Art, now and after the war. IRENE HELEN SAKELARIDAS Rene seems to enjoy movie stars as her hobby is collecting their pic- tures. She is quiet and fond of nature studies and hikes. Would like to go to art school after finish- ing at Meyers, and in twenty years be settled and happy. 'sol-Hin HELEN sAKELA1:1oAs Artistic . . . interested in music . . . sketches as a hobby . . . takes care of' her f'ather's store after school. Soph is practical, competent and full of fun. She likes tests least of all about school. She has lots of friends who agree. JA MES SALLITT This year's full back 'fJess helped bring our team to victory. Some day he would like to coach college football and we think he's madeha pretty good start. Uncle Sam will find him a good man when he helps bring the U. S. to victory. View .. Q, hw' K Air RALPH EDWARD SA U ER Ralph likes to sing, and roller skate. He hopes to get into the chicken business . . . he is a hard worker . . . his favorite subject is English . . . reads all he can about chickens and the chicken business. BENJAMIN JOSEPH SAWICKI Ben and trigonometry go hand in hand as it is his favorite subject. Would like to be able to continue his education. We are sure you will if you stick to it, Ben. Good luck! LAURA MIRIAM SHACKLES Mim's hobby and pastime is music . . . hopes to study it farther after she graduates . . . always ready to laugh at a good joke even if it is on herself. MARGKE'1 1'A ESTELLE SCHOLL Stelle is one of Mr. McGowan's prize students. Why 'Z Because trig is her favorite subject. She spends her leisure time skating and swimming. Good luck in your nurs- ing profession. MORTON PHILLIP SCHON FELD Ko , the boys who always comes out with a wisecrack. Besides be- ing a member of the baseball team and taking an active part in school affairs, he is an ardent supporter of the Wheel . This boy should go far. JOHN EDWARD SEAMAN One of General Hospital prodigies, Legs is a good clarinet player. His model airplanes are tops . . . favorite subject is aeronautics. If you go to the Wheel you will be sure to see him . . . hopes to travel all over the world some day . . . wants to be wealthy and retired in twenty years. You sure will have to work fast!

CAMILLA I . PYANUWSRI Leel' is an all around person full of fun and interested in everything. She is very competent and deter- mined. After high school she wants to take up typing. ln twenty years she wants her life to be a very happy one 1doesn't everyone 73. VVILLIAM RABINOWITZ Swing that rhythm - Swifty wants to lead a big orchestra some day. He is good at the piano and has he got rhythm? Likes to dance to popular music . . . favorite sub- ject is radio . . . get him to play you some boogie-woogie. ROBERT RAMSA Y He went off from our class and tried a new world, and then came back to us again. Glad we suited you, Bob. TED RAN DON Teddy the all around athlete of 1944. One of the few four letter men in the school's history. Al- ready a member of the U. S. Navy, we know that Ted will be able to handle any situation that comes up. PATRICIA REGAN Pat has the unusual but delight- ful hobby of collecting and writing poetry. We wish her well in her ambition to be a professional artist in a large city. BEVERLY LUIS REH N Bev is easy-going and likes to meet people. She would like to spend her spare time sleeping but doesn't seem to have much of a chance. After school she wants to join the WAVES tpopular, aren't they 'U and after the war wants to be happily married. le' V' i HHH if RAYMOND RHIEL One of Meyers' mighty men was he and now Uncle Sam's. His athletic prowess and his great good nature were an unbeatable combination for success and popularity. JAMES RIELLY A far-seeing gent with a fine flav- ored earnestness that gives peace of mind to him when he wants it, and is a safe background for action. STANLEY ELWOOD Rl'l I'ER Interested in radio and electricity Tex can fix almost any radio or electrical appliance. Some day he hopes to be a radio technician or electrician and we are sure he will be a good one. SHIRLEY PATRICIA RODS Pat wants to go to college after leaving Meyers but can't decide which one. She likes to take in the movies, likes to cook, and hopes to be a chemist some day. Pat is a good all around girl and we know she will be a big success. HARRIET ROSENTHAL Reading seems to be enjoyed by all, but especially by Harriet. She is a good taker and carries across her point . . . likes English which is one class she never falls asleep in. FRA NFES W. RUSSER A new addition to Meyers and l might say, an attractive one. She proved her popularity in chapel. Vile know she means to succeed in all things.

ETH EL ROSE SEILER Ethel came to Wilkes-Barre from BuHalo and we are certainly glad she chose Meyers as her alma mater. Luck and success in your future work. CARL LOUIS SHAVER Likes to write, plans to be a ma- chinist, makes friends readily, GoIdy is independent and en- thusiastic. He will readily laugh when the joke is on him and never begrudges anyone his dues. Best of luck, Goldy . ERN EST RAYMOND SIEGEL Ernie's hobbys are nature study and airplane building . . . favorite high school subject is electric shop which he hopes to make his life work. In twenty years he hopes to be an electrician with too much money. HAROLD EDWIN SMITH Music by means of a trumpet is Hanks hobby and pastime . . . wants to go into it seriously so he may make a living from it. You will be a success at it, we are sure, so go to it and good luck. ROBERT JULES SMITH Seen at all the games in his blue and gold with his trumpet, Squeege likes music enough to make a hobby of it and plays very well . . . is planning to continue on to college . . . has lots of friends . . . hopes to be married and with a good job in twenty years. ROBERT M. SMITH Head cheerleader, his wide grin and easy going manner have made him a man to reckon with even before his senior year. Be sure to put that M in,-even to emphasize it a little! 'film ' ALICE RUTH SNYDER This peaceful girl likes to spend her time fooling around a farm. We are able to understand this since her hobby is horses. After school she would like a good secre- tarial job or be happily married. Why not both? CLAIRE KENSEY SNYDER Claire is always around to help or participate in any activities. She intends to further her education at Bucknell and with her looks and in- telligence she can't go wrong. Good luck, Claire. GEORGE SOLOMON Iluddie is able to fix most any- thing . . . he is quick and able . . . would like to study life in the Orient . . . is quick to correct his faults . . . hopes for his life to be happy. MARY SOLOMON Mary is one of the quiet girls of Meyers who is always ready to go to a good show. Another one of her pastimes is listening to the radio. Good luck to you after we part. THEROS ALEXANDER SPANOS One of Mr. Wood's most faithful workers, is Ted , as any vocational student will tell you his favorite classes are shops and mechanical drawing. Many times has his trumpet given the call to the colors at the morning flag raising. No one has a nicer disposition-we will miss being with him. PEGGY IRENE STAI R Peggy will make a good wife for some man. I-low do I know 'I Why her special hobby is cooking. After high school she plans to do office work and also Red Cross work.
