BERNARD CASNER Cas plays the accordian, and when he plays everybody stops to listen to him. He also has an am- bition to be one of Uncle Sam's fliers and no matter where he goes we know he will make good. CATHERINE R. CASPER Observant, quick and competent . . . able to work things out for her- self. Kate likes to help other people. Hopes to take up oifice work . . . if she has money, to sit around. BETTY CAVAN She fits in so well that we are doubly regretful when she has to be out of school. Betty is not too big, not too small, just right for us, and we count ourselves fortun- ate to have her one of us. JAM ES A. CAVAN Jim has talents as a song writer and several of his songs have been published. After the war he would like to be a writer. Now he is writ- ing with gun-fire for Uncle Sam's navy. Keep up the good work, Jim, we are all behind you. LILLIAN DOROTHY CISLAK After the war Cwhich we all hope is soonj Duchess would like to travel abroad and see the world. In her spare time she does Red Cross work and takes home nursing. Quite a follower of Knotty Pines Society. ROBERT GEORGE CLARK llob is seen down in the electric shop practically every day. He hopes to be an electrician with a happy family within twenty years. ln his spare time he practices tricks and is a pretty good magician. DOROTHY LOU CLEMM Clemmie is always good for a laugh no matter when you see her. Reading and dancing are the ways she spends her leisure time. Good luck in the years to come. SARALEE COHEN Intends to go to Penn State . . . is busy with sports much of the time . . . likes people and always has a good time . . . livens dull parties Cno remarks nowb . . . wants to travel someday to see the world. BETTY COLE Shorty plans to take up secre- tarial work and we know she will be a success . . . would like to travel after the war if possible . . . plays the piano . . . is a good dancer. She's the girl for our money. Il EVELYN CONNOR Evvie plans to go in training at the Mercy Hospital. Her special hobby is baseball. In twenty years from now, or before, she would like to be happily married. PHYLLIS MAE COUNTERMAN Phyl's favorite subject is shorthand and We know she will certainly make good in clerical work. In her lighter moments we usually hear her playing the piano or busy at some other musical work. FRED CLARK CREASY When the band goes marching by Fred is always there with his French horn. After leaving school he would like to go to the Merchant Marine Academy . . . his hobby is radio.

BERNICE ELAINE BRAVMAN A horse-back riding addict, Bernie spends much of her spare time in the saddle. She is interested in dramatics and very able at them Hopes in twenty years to be hap- pily married and has the man all picked out. GLEN CLA RK BREDBEN NER Glen might day-dream frequently but when he is it is not lost time for he usually is thinking of the weather. You see he would like to be a meteorologist. Glen is also a fast man on the track. TERESA ALICE BREWSTER When asked what her hobby was her answer was sleeping Cwho can blame her?J but she said she never found time to do it enough. Her favorite subject is typing and can she whizz over those keys! MARTHA JUNE BRITTEN Marty is never too busy to give you that big smile and friendly hello. She was an active member of the Modern Choir and Meyers will miss this girl for she is truly a credit to the school. MIRLA MARY BRODY A good pianist, Mirla likes music and the outdoors. She is always helping others and never lets El friend down. Plans to take up of- fice work . . . would like to do Red Cross work. In twenty years she hopes to be happily married and settled. arf JEANETTE SARAH BROWN Jennie plans to go in training after she leaves Meyers . . . think of her lucky patients! Her special hobby is photography and if she did not have to worry about money would spend her life traveling around the U. S. A. JOSEPH RAYMOND BUCKLEY Red is undecided about his future lso he said when askedb. Come on Red, let us in on your secrets. Don't let this fool you, when he starts something he doesn't stop until its done. MARIAN ENID BURKERT Nan has the unusual hobby of collecting match books. She likes to travel and after the war would like to go around the world. Is going to college, she hopes, after leaving us. Good luck, Nan , and stick to that idea of going to col- lege. ANNE PATRICE CAREY If any of Dot's friends need help or advice they know where to go, for Dot is never too busy to give you a big smile and help if it is possible. In twenty years she would like her life to be a bed of roses. DUANE L. R. CARR Rugs likes art work and is good at music, playing the accordian very well. Going to answer his Uncle Sam's call to the army. Likes to sleep and eat in his leisure time and is a good dancer. MARION ESTELLE CAR USO Marion is the girl who can sing and dance forever . . . maybe that is why she wants music to be her life's work. She is almost a professional now. If you go to a party and Mar- ion is there you will be sure to have a good time.

DANIELS When the band goes passing by Audrey is out in front twirling her baton at which she is second to none. After school she wants to be a typist for some business con- cern,-but we sight romance ahead. JANE SHEAMAN DAUBERT Jane is the peaceful person people like to associate with. After the war we hope she will be able to use her time traveling, as she would like to do now. GLORIA I. DAVIS Movie fan, Gib's hobby is collect- ing movie magazines. Her favorite subjects are art and economics. She would like to go to art school and travel after the war. She hopes her life will be happy and cheerful in twenty years. JOHN JAMES DAVIS U. S. Army is Jack's destination after leaving us. When Uncle Sam doesn't need him any more he plans to go to college . . . likes learning new things in school . . . would like to be a druggist. VIDA JUNE DAVIS Vide is always ready to take part in anything Cmaybe that's why she gets along with teachers as well as studentsi. Swimming is her hob- by . . . Stroudsburg State Teachers College is the school she intends to. attend. Stroudsburg is mighty lucky to get this young lady. 'Sw air,- is an LORAINE JEAN DIEROL I Loraine is looking to the future when she is happily married and has children. She says she could dance or skate all day and still not be tired of either. Favorite sub- ject is typing. THOMAS BARBE DILLY A navy man, Tom will never sink. Secretary to the Swim Club, every Monday and Friday he holds his little book while you call your num- ber. Hopes to go to college when Uncle Sam has won,-we hope he gets there soon. BRUCE DIXON We are all pleased that Bruce should come to Meyers, who having come from England might have passed us by. We know he will make good as a machinist as he is one of Mr. Wood's star pupils. EDWIN JAMES DRU-M The one who is always practical and never lets anything stand in his way is our Eddie. We are sure he will make good in his dental lab or on his farm whichever he chooses as his work. How can you mix those two 'I JANE DUFFY Janie, one of our outstanding sen- iors. You can spot her a mile away with that gorgeous hair. Excellent in her studies and active in school affairs. Her record at Meyers will long be remembered. Incidently, she goes for paratroopers in a big way. SAMUEL ELIAS ln a short time from now it will be Lt. Sam Elias. As captain of the football team and all-scholastic cen- ter, Sammy proved he has what it takes. We know the Army Air Corps will be proud of him.
