Last fall el PAGE TWENTY THE PEP 1 our Seniors W Stisulis Tarlskus L Roy L Therriault Three uniors B ones Dawson T Muir Two Sophomores D Dorr K Wliytock One Ireshman M Stisulis The officers of the four classes are President Vice President Secretary President Vice President Secretary President Vice President Secretary President Vice President Seniors W Stisulis D Bartlett I Kidder umors Betty jones W Gaudet W Caron Sophomores W Olsen Charles Aleck Gcncxieye Conley lreshmen Lloyd Crossland Laurt Snyder new weekly paper was formed by the Basketball girls entitled The Pintoscope lhis has been a xery successful enterprise and has been enyoyed by all the readers A new club was organized last October by Mr Carl Young and called The Talents Club The members are chosen from their ability to speak debate and perform in any way Their meetings are once a month The Hmh School Orchestra was led by M1 Harry Cohen and was ycry successful It played in many school activities and recciyed much fuorablc comment 'Ihe annual Pintexico Pair was held Nos ember 15 and 16 of last year with yery successful ults The net profit was S315 95 Mrs Beatrice Dyment was generll chairman and to her a great deal of appreciation and thanks for her splendid work The class chairmen were Seniors umors Sophomores Freshmen hfatthew Myles anet Dawson Charles Aleck Lloyd Crossland Class Sponsors Seniors Mr C1I'lYOLll'1g Mr Dwyer juniors Mrs Murphy Sophomores Mr Rose Mr M Xoung lreshmen Miss I urbush lNI and M er Club Mr Dwyer The prize for the best booth went to the umors and the juniors also made the most money lebruary 14 Valentines Day a Pop Concert was put on by Mexico High School This M18 one of the most successful ex ents eyer staged and another is planned for une 6th Miss 1-lirmon was sponsor and Mrs Murphy had charge of the decorttions Grett credit is due them for their hard work On April 12 a banquet was given to the tssem bly members at the Goodwill Hall A supper was scryed and dancing followed The women members of the faculty had charge and much credit is due them for the excellent manner in which the affair was carried out During the year a new organization called the Mexico High School Scientific Society was formcc for the purpose of advancing and diffusion of the sciences and in this way showing an apprecit tion to its members for the scientific work they haxe done and the knowledge they hayc recened 'lo be a member of this group is the highcs honor anyone can rcceise in this scientific branch bcrship is yery restricted and limited to OHL lreshman three Sophomores fixe umors and seven Seniors This membership is based entirely upon the work they have done in this branch while in high school This organization with its high standards wil' without a doubt urge many students to better their work and thus the school as a whole will be benefited 'Ihe future of this group is assured as in th new high school they will be able to give and conduct yaluable and interesting assembly pro grams and thus gnc real benefit to all students by gixing them at such times many facts that are worth while and th it all shou'd know but x ould be untble to do so without such programs This group will also be able to undertake such proyects ts will fall into their lines so that this society will be a real benefit to the school The members haye proyed that they are the leaders in the branches they were chosen from Some excel in radio others in chemistry and physics others in biology and nearly all haxe guned a broad knowledge of all the scientific subyects that are in line with school work and mmy hue done considerable and commendtblc work outside of school life As these students are thc real leaders in their work they will create . .
