CONGRESSIONAL RECORD Class Histor y As we entered our Freshman year in the fall of 1901 we elected Evadna Ives as pr sldent and Donna Wright Judith Gibson Shirley Adams Sandra Sutliff Frank Mannise Robert Nichols and Robert Zieske as advisors and delegates to the Junior Student Council Many of our members were actlve in band and chorus with Martha Dunn and Leonard Smlth going to All State for chorus and Donna Wright and Marcia DeLong representing the band Our ath letes both boys and girls partlcipated in intramurals and freshman boys basketball We dis covered that we had som excellent actors and actresses 1n our midst when we took first prize in the annual one act play contest with our play Apple for Teacher under the direction of Mr John Gokey Beginning our second t rm we find John Francis as president with John Grlfhng Rob ert Carp and J1m Pierce as advisors and Carol Williams Shirley Adams and Frank Mannlse as Senior Student Council delegates We sponsored our nrst dance the Harvest Hop Our athlet s again represented us in the various school sports In the one act play contest we saw the play Mad Breakfast again under the direction of Mr Gokey bring us second prize Our musicians and singers continued their activities in band and at the various All State programs In our third term we fmd Frances Rose as our chief executive with Jim Plerce Judy Gibson and John Grifling ass1st1ng Shirley Adams was vice president of the Senior Student klns dance and the Basketball dance Our from our class went to All State Our class ected by Mr Rlchard Wldell with which we prize in the prize speaking contest with her year with the Junior Prom and were eagerly In the last term we elected Shirley lams and Leonard Smith as asslstants Jim Ex adna Ives was vice president Our delegates ti r We sold magazines this year with sales Ruth under the direction of Mr Pierce and athletes represented us well this year Many play thls year was entitled One of Us dir earned second prize Carol Williams won first interpretation of Bridge Bore We ended our anticipating our final year Adams as president and Bob Z1 zke Carol Will Pierce was president of the Student Council and were Allle Youngs Tom LaClair and Paul Bara totaling S2 187 85 Our class play was Dear starring Carol Williams Judith Gibson D1ck Dailor All1e Youngs J1m Pierce Sherman Kennedy Mary Louise Magnuson Donna Wright Don Sade and Justin Backus Don Sade won the American Legion Oratorlcal Contest for th school and Carol Willlams again won the prize speaklng contest Our athletes were again very active as were our musicians and singers who participated in the annual All State program We sponsored the Football Dance Turkey Trot Donkey Basketball Fculty Student Game Magrc Show Mexiconian and ended the year with the SCHIOI' B2-11 and 0'-11' C1285 UID We are all looking forward to a bright future due chiefly to our happy years at MACS Judith Gibson 24 , .
