The baseball team had a much better season this year than last. Since none of the graduates had been members of the team, we had a complete team which had had past experience. Out of the seven games played, Metz won three and lost four, and tied for fourth place with Salem. As the result of the play-off between the teams, Metz was the victor, with a score of 9 to 5, and entered the County tourney. ln the tourney, Metz started off by beating Flint 6 to 4, to go into the finals against Orland, who had taken Fremont in a 10 inning thriller 2 to 0. Then, in the finals, Metz and Orland had a pretty good duel until the sixth inning when Orland scored ten runs. This was more than Metz could overcome. Baseball Scores Metz 2 P.
