The class remained almost the same during the summer with the exception of Zada Snyder who became Hrs. Gene Nichols. She is to receive her diploma with the rest of the class. Then early in the year Juanita Wolff fell out of the old line up, and we hope that we will not lose anymore of our members. The most interesting event in the road for the Senior mile is the Senior Class Play, UEnter The Heron, for which we are now preparing. We hope that it will be a great monument along the road of time for everyone. Then not only is the play in this last long mile, but the final step from the great road is the Commencement ser vices This last mile of the Journey has five of the players that play on the basketball squad They are Lee Buell, nenneth Dirr, Tommy Lateon, Herbert Lechliedner, and Richard Wisner, with Omar Eddy as one of the squad manag ers There s also a cheerleader from our class of n46' Paula Orsborn So as you can see we are even better rep resented then we were last year The Class Officers for our Senior year are President nichard Wisner, Vice President Jackie Vogelpohl, Secre tary Rebecca McClish, Treasurer Herbert hechliedner Student Council representatives are Richard Wisner and Paula Orsborn Richard Wisner is tne president f the Student council Rebecca Mcolish, Jacxie Vogelpohl, Richard uisner, and Omar Eddy have been most consistently on the honor roll during our high school careers We shall leave the last mile of the High School road to go on our separate pathways For some of the boY5 this will mean that they will go into the armed forces We shall go on our ways, but we will never foriet OUT pleasant four miles with the uDear Old Class of 1940 CLASS PROPHECY oem' 's a ir ' 's a ane ' h no 1t's our space ship whizzing oft into the realm of tomorrow ve are now entering the year of nineteen hundred and fifty six that is this curious spectacle down below?
