Many people have helped us through our school days, but we feel that the one who has contributed the most of herself and has tried to cheer and mother us has been Lorene Spillman. There have been times when it seemed as though no one would claim us, but we could always rely on Rene to give assistance to her kids. We will miss the happy and carefree days we've spent at Metz, but we shall always remember the people who have kept us going through the many and various difficulties associated with senioritis. We want to express our appreciation and thanks to Rene. Even though we are leaving Metz High School, we know others will experience the same help and encouragement that we received from her throughout our school years. w 1 Ralph happiness he remembered May thi and the com were faced r yearbook . The happiness he brought toxhis friends and classmates will long be remembered. ' May this yearbook serve as a fitting memorial to their friends and the community, but rnost of all, to their families. We, the Senior Class, wish to offer this 1974 CARDINAL in memory of Jack Kendrick and Ralph Minor. jack Kendrick was a dedicated man who took an interest in all that went on around him. He took a special interest in the Rhinehart Chris- tian Church and other activities which were for the betterment of the school and community. It is a time when one has a chance to forget the dull routines of the day and come to a ballgame to enjoy himself or let off steam. This sports activity adds so much to the school year, and we are thankful for and appreciative of the people who attend our games and support us with their presence. Through the years, the teams change, and familiar faces scattered in the crowd are replaced with new ones. Some parents who wouldn't have dreamed of missing a ballgame while their child was active and involved in school func- tions suddenly feel they are no longer a part of our school simply because their son or daughter has graduated. Nothing could be further from the truth. A special warmth will always be felt toward those parents who continue to support our teams even though the school days of their children are stored in the past. No attention given to us, the basketball players, goes unrecognized. We like to have large crowds for our games, and we love to hear the voices of the fans cheer us on. On man we feel a particular gratitude toward is Ezra Neptune. Ezra has attended many of our games through the years. In fact we might consider him to be one of our biggest fans. Neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow, nor gloom of nightw could keep Ezra from being in attendance of the local basketball games. We want to say a big THANK-YOU not only to Ezra, but to all our fans and especially our parents. Dedication FR' Rei cation :nts and himself native of ss.
