gf f1f 'ifl i7,fV,w ,t'Q,j'fi P , . ' -.xfr 5 f I . , N SENIOR CLASS HISTORY Here we are, a class of twelve, leaving the security and contentment of the grades to enter the exciting and adventurous seas of high school. In the midst of all the new experiences we encountered as freshmen, we somehow found time to elect class officers: Dennis Reed - President, Donna Kennedy - Vice-President, Ruth Pryor - Sec- retary-Treasurer, and Larry Forkner - Reporter. The freshman year, for most of us was a year of adjust- ment and learning, which somehow we struggled through. Then came our sophomore year, which started out badly for we no longer had the pleasant company of Jimmy Fritts and Jeanie Hawks. This left only ten of us to carry on. We elected Larry Forkner - President, Ruth Pryor - Vice-President, Patty Handly - Secretary-Treasurer, and Donnie Deihl - Reporter. We then began our junior year, the year when we felt like everything was going our way, be- cause attention was aimed at us with class rings and planning of the subjects we needed. Yes, this was a good year. We elected Donna Kennedy - President, Donnie Diehl - Vice-President, Susan Wilson - Secretary-Treasurer, and AnnBrown - Re- porter. We regretted only that we lost another fellow student and friend, Patty Handly, which made our class enrollment nine. Then as though it had jumped out at us, our senior year was here. When we entered the school for our last year with the addition of Shirley Col- ton, there were ten of us. This was, for all of us, the last step in our education at M. H. S, As seniors, we were setting an example for all the underclassmen at Metz who would one day be seniors. As seniors, we proudly elected our last year's class officers: Donnie Diehl - President, Gladys Chrisenbery - Vice-President, Larry Forkner- Secretary-Treasurer, and Linda Griffin - Reporter. We are leaving dear Metz High School now, each with a tear in his eye and song in his heart. We each would like to stay at Metz for afew more years, but we must go out into the world and continue the part we 1'l'lLlSt play in the great adventure of .life. - Donnie Diehl JZ FRONT ROW: . . .J , N 5 . . ., U , V , , if,g.-igmlns '.:...- -.
