'. .-.1,- , . CLASS HIS T OR Y August 29, 1961. We climb the stairs in twos and threes nervous and yet curious about what they are really leading us to our Ereshman year. As we assemble in study hall, our minds wander over the sweet thoughts of all the injustices and abuses that the upper classmen promise we will receive. We received most of them at initiation. Mr. Sivils gave us the traditional message, instructed us to select our courses, and we were on our way. Somehow, we made it through the Freshman year. Our Officers were Pres. James Dark, Vice-Pres. Jerry Henry, Sec. Sc Treas. Beverly May, and Rep. Jeanie Welch. Mr. Hart was our sponsor. There were 26 in our class. September 3, 1962. At last we were Freshmen no more, now we're silly Sopho- rnores. The one big event of the year was, of course, initiating the new Freshmen, which we did with much zeal. Leading our group were Pres. Jim Lyons, Vice-Pres. Rodger Wikoff, Sec. 85 Treas. Jeanie Welch, and Rep. Sandy Phillips. Mr. Yoder sponsored us. This year there were only 20 in our class. September 2, 1963. We ,are now Juniors. We could not get our class rings, which we all wanted very much. We were all proud of them when we finally received them. We also had the privilege of treating the Seniors to a two-day trip at Kal-Fran Lodge in the Osage Beach area. Ronnie Reed was Pres. , Larry Boyd was Vice-Pres., Jeanie Welch was again Sec. 8a Treas. , and Beverly May was Rep. Our sponsor was Mr. Brock. There were 21 in our class. ' August 31, 1964. Again we climbed the stairs in twos and threes, but this time we're the pro's, the privileged, and on top of the hill. Most of us shake our heads dizzily, wondering just where the last 3- years went, and so quickly. We are all con- fident of passing, if the teachers will all be understanding enough. The year is so full of events there is scarcely enough time for classes. On our Skip Day, we shopped at the Mall, went to the American Royal in the afternoon, and that evening we went to see the Cinerama production, It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World , although most of us were already becoming aware of this fact. Our Sr. play is entitled lf Mother Only Knew , which we hope is a success. The Juniors plan to take us to Rockaway Beach for the Jr. -Sr. Trip. Our class officers are Pres. Jerry Henry, Vice-Pres. Roger Wikoff, Sec. Gary Headrick, 'Treas. Sandy Phillips, Rep. Jeanie Welch, and Sgt. -at-Arms Jim Lyons. Our sponsor is again Mr. Yoder. There are 20 in our graduating class.
