The Sophomores gave us the traditional initiation, consisting of the usual get-up of costumes and of course, the night party when everything went black with the blindfolds. Our class Officers were: Catherine Henley, President, Bob Parrack, Vice President, Wilda Reed, 7 as our sponsor. Next, was Secretary and Treasurergxhnd Ina May Rynard, Reporter. We chose Mr. Chapin the Carnival COctober 281 our representatives for King and Queen were Walter Burchell and Arletta Kennedy. At the end of the year, we gave the Sophomores a return party featuring a weiner roast and games afterward on the school playground. We were sorry to lose three ,' members of our class, Susan Thorpe, Elmer Hoover, and Wade Stanart. K Our Sophomore year, we gained Jim Hogan and Jerry Allison. Our spon- sor was Mrs. Chapin, our officers were: Lea Roy Raabe, President, Bob Parrack, Vice President, Rosalee Pryor, Secretary and Treasurer, and Charlotte Malcom, Reporter. We chose Jim Hogan and Ina May Rynard to I represent our class as candidates for the annual Carnival King and Queen contest. We initiated the Freshmen, it was much more fun than last year. We were sorry to lose Freda Willson, who became Mrs. Elton Raabe in the spring. Junior Year: Raymond Martin enrolled as our only new classmate. I Our class officers were: Raymond Martin, President, Catherine Henley, Vice President, Helen Sue Reed, Secretary and Treasurer, and Arletta Kennedy, Reporter. We ordered our class rings September 18, and finally got them December 3. Mr. Smith directed two one-act plays which included the whole class. They were 'MAMMA'S GETTING MARRIED' and nTHE'DUMMY.' .We were sorry to lose Raymond Martin, who moved to Nevada and Helen Sue Reed, who married Bennie Good and moved to Kansas City. We worked all year to finance the Jr. Sr. Trip to ROCKAWAY BEACH and back through Springfield where we attended the live Tv. show 'THE OZARK JUBILEE.' And Now---our most cherished and last year: Our class offiggpg are Wilda Reed, President, Lea Roy Raabe, Vice President, Arletta Kennedy, Secretary and Treasurer, and Rosalee Pryor, Reporter. We chose Mr Pinks and Miss Smith as our sponsors. September 27, we went to Fort Scott, where we had our senior pictures taken. We got our proofs October 15. Then after impatient waiting, we get our finished pictures on November 13. We took our SKIP DAY on October 2 to Kansas City, where we shopped all morning in the downtown area, then we went to the afternoon performance of the AMERICAN ROYAL. That evening and night, some went to see CINERAMA while others went to other play entitled 'AUNT TILLIE members. We were sorry to x when she became Mrs. Jimmy world.. Although Wilda has to graduate with us in the shows. Miss Smith directed our three-act GOES TO TOWN? which took a cast of eleven lose Wilde Reed during the Christmas Vacation, Key.
