. .Q , ,... v -- ,-F, ,,....,-, f - . N S-WSH. S E N 1 O WIS 5, il Late one evening in the summer of l95O Littlg Junior climbed upon his-grandmother's lap and tease . L ' Alth h it has been some her o tell him a story. oug n 5 rim , she could still remember her happy hgE?Q5SCh0Ol days, so she decided to tell him about them.i ' , Well Sonny, way back in the fall of l954 fifteen very happy freshmen entered high school. we had lot of fun that year and everybody called us green. Then one May day we were all promoted to the sophomore W' eemed more important than ever, and felt Glass. e s A smarter too, until we entered .geometry class, then 5 h we a l think a few of us felt different. Some ow ' 0+ managed to get throughjby using our brains, 'and with, much hard studying. A c f g 1 Then Came the year of '56 a veryh dry year. Al ' ' in-.V a- happy of the crops failed, but still we were M spirit and enjoying life, especiallyiwhenswee gave the banquet in the spring. , After.'we,, Vourselves, b - e seniors we didn't seem nearly as superhnq? as we tho ght we would and most of us were.anxious.gpygo out iiio the world and makeg a' future for ourselves. But listen sonny. sfter all these years we can look beck and truthfully say, nthose were the happiest and care free days of our livesn. Now let us see what type of d ' Buford .work each of these students are engage .in., Graham still farms down near gthe old home town. My, I .shall never forget how that boy used to sleep through shorthand class. His sister Mabel married a lawyer from Jefferson City and is quite an outstanding lady in society. I guess Willis Catherwdod is still living on his ranch in Arizona, which he bought from Jerome sender ' Mustain and Ralph King, who were. partners. 'They now own and operate a night club in Hollywood. Melvin Mitchell has a position in Kansas City and as far as I know is still a bachelors Madge Lyons is married to a Professor who is teaching in Springfield. Everett Perry is an aviator. I always thought Eugene Potter would be something different, but he is a lion tamer in a large circus. Wilma has retired from nursing and is, taking her twin to Hawaii. Marvin Wikoff owns a boot factory in detroit and Mary Frances Bray is president of an or- phan asylum in the same town. After Bob Myers' wihavent to Reno he left for South America to hunt wild cats and hasn't been heard of since. Ch yes, Betty Morrison, she WHS always a serious minded little thing had written. a book on health, and has been married three times. v Well, Grandmother must go now and dress for dinner but I shall tell you another story tomorrow.
