Q out XY b if -lit 34. r?..fl.1.,,,3 r2.ttv4 A QQ The Bulldogs Bark is Metuehen High Schoolis student-run newspaper, To qualify for the staff, an applicant lnust take a journalism course which deals with essen- tials of the newspaper business. This course is offered each fall, after which an exami- nation must be passed. The new staff member has a choice of working on any of the four pages. Page one consists of news articles while page two deals with editorials and junior high news. Timeless features and humorous ar- ticles maybe found on page three, and page four handles all sports news. Reporters work with one of four editors. They are the Editor-In-Chief. the Associate Editor, and the Feature and Sports Editors. Other editors include the Exchange Edi- tor who gathers news from other schools, and the Art Editor who is in charge of cartoons and any other art work. The Copy Editor reads material before and after the Bark goes to press: his job is to see that all errors are corrected before the final edition is released. Since its organization in 1948 by Miss Lieber Anker, faculty adviser, the Bulldog's Bark has soared to new heights, Last year at the Columbia Scholastic Press Associa- tion llonvention, it ranked with other first place entries for the fourth suceesive year.
