Special ervices Offered An essential segment of Metropolitan junior College is the counseling available to all students who have any form of problem, whether personal, academic, or other. Their task is to help students gain insights that help them make wise decisions. Counselors provided career informa- tion services, helped study-skill groups, led discussion groups, and gave special assistance to the Developmental Program undertaken this year. Because the college has an open door policy on admissions, the counselorls job begins when a student seeks entry to a particular curriculum and continues as long as the student remains in college. This year Miss Wright, as Admissions Counselor, visited all of the area high schools and counseled with prospective stu- dents. Mr. Williams, as Financial Aid Officer, helped stu- dents with loans, scholarships, and vocational rehabilita- tion assistance. 1 Mr, Ga r A s 'rre t studies a problem presented by a student having trouble with his courses, .
