ow, English is Greek to Us! The Spanish club or El Espanol celebrated all ot the important Spanish holidays. The October meeting was held to celebrate El Dia de la Raza which is the same as our Columbus Day. For the month of November the club met tor El Dia de los Muertos which is the Spanish name tor Halloween. One of the most entertain- ing meetings was held to acquaint the members with la Musica de Espana. Near the end ot the tirst semester El Club EspaF1'ol had La Fiesta de Navi- dad or the annual Christmas party. Known to French-speaking students as Le Cercle Francais, the French club has been very active this year. A winter-time picnic was held with Mr. Disney serving as host. There were abouttwenty-tive members presentand they stuffed themselves on American hot dogs and marshmallows, and en- ioyed rich French pastry. Forthe Christ- mas program Vicki Piotrowski and Judi Clover presented Une Querelleu, a short play by the l8th century French writer Beaumarchaisr Miss Kruse and Miss Glynos spon- sored the Spanish and French clubs.
