Ronald Gilchrist, and the mechanic was Lawrence Dubois. Barbara Brainard and Cvnthia Bodenrader were hostesses on the plane. Also working for the same company were Lillian Anderson. Pat DelDuca. and Lois Waites. I hear that the first demonstration on the program will be presented by a group from Lawrence General Hospital under the supervision of Marie Drouin. M.D. The nurses included Click Hoffman. Marie Calobrisi. Judy Hosterman, Mary Athayde, and June Bettencourt. The technical advice on the medicines used was supplied by the well-known pharmacist. Betty: Recording notes for the convention are secretaries Diana LaRosa. Barbara Kilcoyne. Janice Morris, Mary Boyd, Rosemary Rumore. Carol Bechard, and Marilyn Ball. It was piloted by Chuck Donahue and Ronald Popielarski. Bill Agnew, Alby Lerned, Art Ward. John Sheehan. and John Paris were aboard. The incident created a minor disturbance. Betty: I arrived here a day early and dropped in Vin ' s Beauty Shop. Joseph Vinci- queria. the owner, was assisted by Barbara Boutin, Mary Ann Pelczar, Elaine Iannalfo, and Jean Fortin. Ronald Penczak, who has charge of the photography, is working in connection with the models, Ruth Lawrence and Charlene Thwaites. On the way. he mentioned that he had recently seen our former classmate, Joe Grasso, now a famous jockey. We stopped at the gas station proprieted by Bob Pappalardo. The mechanics working for him were Bob Agnew and Jack Lawrence. Later we passed Dave Dechane ' s Electric Appliance Business. When we arrived in the business district, Sam pointed out a large business run by Prank Bonanno. The Salco Drug Store, in the same district, was run by the prominent pharmacists, Joan Bosco and Frank Salzano. By the way, I arrived here in one piece. Jim: B. J., did you notice the program for this morning? It ' s called Health and Safety under the supervision of the teachers, Judy Allen. Pat Dowd. Betty Puzniak, Anne Marie Gosselin. and, oh, yes. Bill Lacouter — another Mr. Kennedy. James Cote, currently doing fine radio work, has charge of the narration. I understand that the fireman. Harold Kay, is supervising the safety division of the program. Also working on this project are the dental workers. Sandra Slovin and Shirley Wegehenkel. The famous dieticians. Joan Vallario and Linda Hoehn will be speaking on proper school meals. Jean Tosta, and Peg Sigmon. and the telephone operators, Peggy Jean, Sally Sugden, and Germaine Martin. Jim: I talked with Bill McGovern. Bob Hennessy, Bernie Valcourt, and their coach, Dan Perry. They have a basketball game scheduled for this evening. I seems Bill McGovern, the center, is trying to keep up with Bernie — a pretty difficult proposition. Betty: The schedule for this afternoon includes an entertainment. Barbara DeSilva, first on the program, is going, to do her best to sing like Ella. Also taking part will be the musician, Ray Contorelli. The main feature of the program will be the amazing impersonations by the one and only, Barbara Barnat. Better not miss that, Jim. Jim: Did you notice the new engineering concern on the way up? I went in to look around just out of curiosity. In charge of the plant was Bill Greska. Some of the engineers there were Ken Deming, Bob Tataronis, Jim DiLavore, Harvey Issenberg, Greg Johnson, Robert Kendrik, Harry Ketler, Bill Paquin. Art Pringle, and James Sarcione. You may remember John Monfet, Donald Clark, and Allan Gebo — they were working as draftsmen. Also there were the electricians, Gerald Valcourt and Ed Barr. Taking care of the office work were Gail Alakel, Anna Borgesi, Alice Payne, m Sheila Cavanaugh, Shirley Champey. Sally Clifford, Patricia Dorr, Janet Elliot, Carol White. Elaine Felides, and Josephine Lastrina. Betty : I met some of our former classmates yesterday while I was shopping. Marilyn Cubelli, whose only ambition was to be rich, is now living in a one-room apartment in the city. Dale Bottomley. our class most bashful, is now a popular celebrity. Connie DeLucia is the secretary to a young handsome single executive. I guess she fulfilled her ambition! Martie Dietrich ' s ambition was to fulfill her Rainbow Promise. When I met her yesterday, she said that she had fulfilled it. Of course, we ' ll just have to take her word for it! Phyllis Duncan and Carolyn Wood are directing the Christian Education at a local church. Kal Lorentz. doing diplomatic work, is trying to maintain the friendship between the nations. Sandra Nolet has entered the real estate business. He slogan — To let with Nolet. Jim: I forgot to mention that while I was on the street yesterday, I met Bill Johnson, who was interviewing people. I had the distinct honor of meeting that noted college professor, Jack Mahoney. One of the others interviewed was Jim Mambro, who is still driving that red Ford convertible. I also met the college students, Jane Kenyon, Ray Nazarian. Henry Gingras, Bob Oldfield. and J ohn Cooke. Also there was the successful horse owner and trainer. Bill Partlow. Interviewed later were the accountants, Barbara Carr and George Bistany. Betty : Working at Saks 5th Avenue are the secretaries, Lee Clarke, June Darling- ton, Marion Donovan, Tomie Flanagan, Carol Gagnon, Loretta Gosselin, Roberta Hewett, Pat Kelley, Emily Lombardi, Bernice Kusnierski. Dot LaVoie. Marilyn Mikula, Carol Pickles, Helen Saab, Nan Smerdon, and Val McLin. Jim: While I was listening to the interviews, I noticed some familiar faces — Gloria Beernaert, Allen Prunier. John Rizkallah, James Stundze. and Jack Murphy. I couldn ' t help noticing Sebastian Catalano, who was playing football for the New York Midgets. In a cloud of dust I noticed Ray Wilson wisk by, just missing some heavy construction equipment operated by Jack Hammond. Nearby was the office of the Stackelin Fishing Tour Company. Betty: The final program of the convention, which will be conducted by the medical department of the New York General Hospital, includes Barbara Bennett, Arline Bohne, Arlene Carro, Barbara Charbonneau, Ruth Collins, Dot Cox, Jackie DeSantis, Barbara Dill, Joan Enus, Shirley Marshman, Sandra Newsum, Sue Stainsby, Phyllis Szelest, Shirley Trussell, and Adeline DiZazzo. Jim: Well, before I say good-bye, I must tell you about Judy Murphy, who I met this morning. Her consumption of ice cream was so great that she decided to invest in an ice cream factory. She is now the proud owner of Murphy Melon Molds, whose slogan is Murphy Melon Molds make marvelous munching. For a change of pace, Judy Stevens and Chris Beaulieu will show the pictures from their trip around the world. And that ' s the convention.
