Mrs. lshee Adviser fi Music Club The student chapter of the Music Educators National Conference is com- posed of those students interested in a career in music education. The club meets once a month and programs are presented by music educators in the area. The club sponsored a bake sale at the beginning of the year to obtain funds for various activities to be held during the year. In November, several members attended the annual MENC convention held at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. The club gave a spaghetti dinner for the stu- dents of the music department and has given receptions after concerts held in the Student Union. - ' Dennis Bruce President Posfiche Pastiche, the Methodist College literary club, provides a golden opportunity to lVlC's budding authors and poets. The staff, headed by president Dennis Bruce, surveys submitted material and chooses the best to be published in Tapestry. The editors and staff are quite demanding, so that the student author feels a justified sense of pride in seeing his work in print. SMALL TALK sMALL TALK's job is to find and present news of interest to the stu- dents, faculty, and administration of Methodist College. Publishing a six-page issue every two weeks except for special editions at Christmas, May Week, and the end of the year, sMALL TALK is now in its eighth year. Under the last several editors, the paper has undergone tremendous growth, growing from a four-page monthly with a circulation of 900 to its present size and a circulation of l,400. sMALL TALK is a member of the Associated Collegiate Press.
