Membership in the Monarch Club is limited to those athletes who have lettered in a varsity sport. When off-duty, these athletes show their form by selling pens, washing cars, and pumping soda at ball games.

Circle K As a member club of the largest men's organization on the American college campus, the Circle K Club of Methodist College has endeavored throughout the year to do service to the college and community.. The club held various fund-raising projects, high-lighted by the first annual Miss Boiler Plant Pageant. Among the activities of the 30-member club were a campus clean-up campaign, the presentation of ballot boxes to the S.G.A., and the construction of a Nativity scene for presentation to the Davis Memorial Library. The Circle K Club entertained the N.C. Wesleyan Circle K Club at an lnter-club Meeting in February. The members of the club attended a Work- shop and Training Conference at N.C. State University. Attending the Dis- trict Convention in March were several members of the club. At the end of the 1967-68 year, plans were being made to send delegates to the 13th Annual Convention of Circle K International to be held in Philadelphia in Au gust. Spanish Club Let us have a better mutual under- standing is the project theme of the Esperanza Spanish Club. The goal of this year's club has been to raise three thousand dollars in order to send more students to Spain. With this objective in mind, the members have worked on projects such as dances, candy sales, and a Spring Fashion Show. These along with several non-profit activities have created a lasting tradition for the club. :EE 2,1 The Spanish Club meets to discuss the spring fash- ion show. 124 Feliz Navidad! One of the Spanish Club's projects was the deco ration of the Methodist College Christmas tree.
