The Legislative Branch of the S.G.A. is formed by the Senate, which includes four representatives from each of the four classes. From its membership the Senate elects a President of the Senate, and a Recording Secretary of the Senate. Powers of the Senate include the regulation and supervision of ap- proved campus clubs, the enactment of constitutional laws, the impeach- ment of officers, and the provision of effective student government for the S.G.A. The Judicial Branch is comprised of an effective Judicial Council consisting of eight members, a chief justice and seven associ- ate justices. Membership consists of the four respective class presidents and four justices appointed by the president of the S.G.A. The Judicial Council has the power to interpret the Constitution and acts of the Senate, to try persons impeached by the Senate, and to try S.G.A. members for violations of Constitutional and college rules. 121
