The paper is financed by student activity fees and is operated by a staff headed by the editor and assisted by a faculty advisor. The purpose of the paper is to publish semi-monthly the news, sports, editorial expressions of the campus and extensive literary con- tributions from both the students and the faculty. SMALL TALK is six years old and has progressed from a monthly publication of four pages to a bi-monthly publication of six pages. The paper is presently printed by the County Press of Benson, North Carolina.
