Jill-CJK School! Changes dlddness I suppose an item of first interest to all of you former students is the fact that at long last the 'school has actually moved out of its hotel surroundings at the Damon where it had been housed since 1926 to a home all its own. CThe building formerly occupied by the First Methodist Church at 4 Second Avenue N. WJ New home of M-K School For all of four times in its 41 year history, the Methodist-Kahler School has been moved. Already it is clear that more than ever before, the new location of the school provides a focal point for the educational, co-curricular and ad- ministrative branches of the school, and the activities of allied groups. The actual moving of our academic home was accomplished during the Christmas holidaysg extensive remodeling was done in order to pro- vide offices and classrooms. No single physical fact could do so much to tie the school together. The new building is first of 'all functional, not only does it provide facilities which we have long needed, but allows for some flexibility, and this we think is import- ant in relation to future plans for building a better school. Many of the rooms have been redecorated and now have a bright fresh aca- demic look. New lights and draperies have been installed, some furniture refurbished, and the secretary's office has been placed in such a position that a visitor does not need to ask for information about how to find information. One of the most striking aspects of the re- decoration job was the tasteful use of colors put in the various areas. The hospital main- tenance and housekeeping departments were of extraordinary help to the faculty in bringing about these changes. Put all together, the renovated Methodist Church has given the Methodist-Kahler School of Nursing a fresh look and increased facilities, Xhich will be a constant stimulus to all of us ere.
