Mrs. james Burdick tEl0ise Brownson, '521 and Mrs. Wayne Short Uiarbara zlhzrtin, '52j classtnates, both living in juneau, Alaska, and neither one had the faintest idea that the other was living there, accidently met in the St. Ann's Hospital-where they both had sons born on the same day, june 17, 1055. 'l'hree class reunions flourished: 1025. 1035 and 1045, and official attendance records give the following figures: 10-15 - 60, 1035 - 14, 1025 - 17. Rochester homes of M-K :Xlumni as well as the school office were headquarters ol' the retmion classes. The class of 1025 was entertained at a tea at the home of Mrs. Yaleria lfauver. Mrs. Iiauver, Miss lfsther XYalker, Mrs. l. XY. Stew- art fRuth Xelsonll and Miss Margaret lianghart were the hostesses. The group toured the New Mayo C'linic Building, had a luncieon in the lilizalmethan Room of the Kahler llotel, and at- tended a coffee at the home of Mrs. ll. XY. Stewart. The 1035 class had a tmcheon at Michaels, toured the clinic and had several social periods together. A highlight of Alumni llays was the annual Janquet held at the Rochester t'ountry f'luli on friday evening. Miss Patricia Rekstad, '5-1, served as toastmistress. Mrs. l.. l.. Bronson fllelen Cuyer, V171 president of the .Mumni Association gave the official welcome, and an- nounced the results of the annual election. She also announced the change of the association's name to .'Mumni Association of the Methodist- Kahler School of Nursing which came as a result of the annual lmalloting. The tnusical portion of the program consisted of a vocal solo hy l'atricia lssendorf and a piano solo lit' Richard Bestor. lioth freshmen students in the school. r Q - ' Ihe mam address was given lay llr. R. li. Pruitt. associate director of the Mayo lfounda- tion for Medical lfducation and Research. In his talk he presented several serious ideas which each one of us might well consider as we examine our own philosophy of living. :X traditional feature of the alumni lianquet is the reminiscent responses given hy a repre- sentative from each of the reunion classes. This year the 1025 class was represented hy Miss Ilazel Hoyt of Red Wing. Minnesota: the 1035 class by Mrs. Shelby Reese. tliva Millerj of Ues Moines. Iowa, and the 1045 class by Mrs. -lames Mclienzie tRuth Spearsj of La Crosse, Xtisconsin. The seniors and their escorts were invited to the formal dance following the dinner.
