The Link iltlllbiusirs llbiiaisesrbias Mrs. Eda L. Peterson Edith Mayo Hall Mrs. Ruth Bratager Maxwell Hall Mrs. Esther Van DeMark GQIIUIESA IIFGDIIR SllE5llNlllllflDllRS Seniors of the Kahler and St. Marys Schools of Nursing and post-graduate students from the Rochester State Hospital were guests at a tea at the Mayo Foundation House, Tuesday after- noon, May 23. Each guest was presented with a rose as she entered. Soft organ music provided a relaxing atmosphere as we roamed through the spacious rooms. Tea was served in Balfour Hall and stu- dents and faculty enjoyed the pleasure of visiting with old and new acquaintances. Miss Isabel Farr, of the Mayo Foundation, related the story pictured in the stain glass window. It portrays the evolution of medicine in educational, prac- tical and research fields throughout the ages. The seniors will treasure this afternoon as one of the many pleasant memories of their graduation activities. Lorraine Reedstrom Class of '50 Kahler Hall lIlDaQ4ME4l3QffX.lIf914kllilllR1IE5QfkG1IfllE9 On Sunday evening, May 21, as the Clinic chimes were striking eight, the class of 1950 in crisp white uniforms and red lined capes marched down the aisle of the Presbyterian Church to the familiar strains of Holy, Holy, Holy. The baccalaureate service was the first event of graduation week. The church choir sang Christ On The Upward Way and God Be In My Head. The Reverend Hugh B. jones, D.D., pastor of the church, gave the sermon Religion For A Life Of Service. He pointed out that we have three choices for our way of life: 1. What's yours is yours but I'll try to get it from you. 2. What's mine is mine and I'll keep it that way. 3. What's mine is mine but I'd like to share it with you. We cannot hope to be good nurses or people unless we choose to live by the third philosophy and share with others. VVe left the church with a fuller realization that we had chosen a wonderful profession. Lorraine Reedstrom Class of '50
