-- -The Link llDlIMlllll4lllllE5lIN1l4l3lIEBlIMllllE5iINllf,llF Gflllllllillbllillliliiliillcllfg Take a warm sunshine-filled May Saturday in Rochester, Min- nesota, add the 79 members of the graduating class of the Kahler School, flavor with a musical setting, stir in an appropriate major address and the high drama of three scholarship awards to 2 deserv- ing students and 1 graduate nurse, and you have the main ingred- ients of the 1950 Commencement, acclaimed by all who participated as one of the best', in the line of well-established, traditional commencements. The class of 1950 was composed entirely of women, a total of 79. These students represented ten states with Minnesota leading with 47, Iowa followed with 12 and Wisconsin with 11. It is interesting to note that several members of the class were relatives of Kahler graduates: Florence Backman, sister of Anna Backman, '47g Marjorie Reeve, sister of Laurabelle Reeve, '45 and Alice jarmuth, sister of Irene jarmuth, '43. The class also has one set of sisters, Luella and Gladys Schoepke, and two pairs of first cousins, Margaret johnson and Frances Tok and Beverly Con- naughty and Dolores Sanden. Seven members have cousins who are Kahler graduates and 36 members of this class were informed about the Kahler School through friends who are graduates of the school. It is evident that our Alumni have been assisting in the effort of recruitment by stimulating the interest of promising students. Our Alumni are our best ambassadors in bringing the Kahler School to the attention of well-qualified candidates. f s + f4f ff 1 'f -:i i i 1 Ufa ai figs 7 7 B 1 .224-pgsff.-11' ' VIU N i ii H i ' J , ,.
